Sandy received a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is a seasoned therapist who has practiced in a variety of settings working with a broad age range, couples, individuals and families. She has experience in hospitals, schools and outpatient practices in La Porte, St. Joseph and Berrien County since 1990.

Her practice has included working with those experiencing any of several types of trauma, AD/HD (adults and children), mood disorders, grief and loss, divorce and co-parenting, support groups, premarital counseling, life adjustments, adoption / attachment, couples issues, crisis, women’s and gender issues with a culturally and socially diverse population. She is trained in therapies specific to trauma including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Sandy has been at Samaritan Center for most of the last 10 years and is available for appointments in both Michigan City and La Porte offices of the Center.

She is a member of the United Methodist Church and has been a longtime resident of the Harbor County area.
